If you’re reading this, chances are, 2020 has been a stressful year! Maybe even the most stressful year ever. With that said, how have you been sleeping? I usually sleep like a rock, very rarely have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. I know a lot of people who have had sleeping challenges most of their life, I just wasn’t one of them. Until this year. I’m sleepy at night, plan to turn in, and then, a couple of hours later, I’m still up, probably catching myself playing on my phone!
What about you? There’s just so much that’s going on in the world that it can be very unsettling. I can’t control all the things that are going on in the world, but I can use what I have, to support people like you, my Beauty Industry family, in getting answers to lingering questions and maybe taking some weight off your shoulders.
What are your biggest challenges right now?
Finances
Not enough savings
preparing if there’s another lockdown
more bills than income
Salon
not making as much as before
need to hire
should I close down?
need a new place to work
clients not comfortable returning
clients not wanting to wear masks
trying to fit in too many clients
increased sanitation
wearing mask while working
co workers who aren’t as committed to cleaning as you

prior to Covid, I wasn’t really making enough money, now it’s worse

Health
staying safe while working and interacting with the public
I or a family member have underlying health conditions
someone I know is very sick - from Covid or something else, it’s still stressful
Caring for parents
the time it takes to care for them
the money it takes to care for them
I can’t see or visit them because of Covid restrictions
Virtual schooling and child care
juggling schedules
I’m not good with math/english, whatever
challenges with not having adequate computers, internet, etc.
who will watch my kids while I work?

Sometimes just getting clarity on what’s really bothering you or writing it down, etc. can lessen the load you’re carrying around. I'm hoping this list helped you and didn't get you overwhelmed!
