“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” This sentence is sometimes overused, but nevertheless accurately portrays the picture of resilience and affirmation for overcoming adversity.
In this month of December, as we reflect back on this ‘very interesting’ year, I thought it was fitting for Beauty SuperStars Talk to salute 4 people who have been ‘Life Changers’ in the Beauty Industry. They have always used their power, their purpose, their passion, and their persistence to create change for this industry and their communities, and in the process, they are all business builders also.
At times, I have, admittedly naively thought that if I could just get it ‘right’, life would be easy and maybe go as I planned. God laughed, as he showed me and reminded me that He never said it would be easy. In fact, His Word says that we will have trials and tribulations. Not maybe, but definitely. What He said to me, was that all I could do was to pray to have the faith and the grace to stay the course, to trust the process. His process.
From the outside looking in, it seems my guests this month have learned that lesson as well. Two that I know of, have been faced with major, life altering, health challenges, but instead of giving in, they got up and started giving back again. Starting new businesses, non-profits and finding other ways to serve. In my opinion - they are phenomenal!!
The other two are taking this industry to new heights with their innovations and insights into what is the ‘next level’? They are blazing new trails to move us all forward.
